Ringwood Pipe Band led by former Pipe Major Robert Pearson (dec'd) and Drum Major Virginia McLennan, proudly wearing the uniform of the Seaforth Highlanders and the MacKenzie Tartan

Formed in 1973, the band are in demand in England and Europe.

The band has increased in strength and is attracting work from all over the southern counties and overseas.  Overseas trips include several trips to France, Italy & Spain.  The band were proud totake their place with the 10,000 other pipes & drums in the "Millennium March" in Edinburgh, raising funds for the Marie Curie Cancer Care Charity.  Veterans of the Scottish tattoo at The Roayal Albert Hall and members of the band held key positions.  Principal band on the Scottish Tattoo Tours 1999/2000/2001.

Their own Website www.angelfire.com/sc/ringwoodpb/ has helped make the  band famous worldwide for its own Wessex Tattoo. New pipers and drummers including learners, are always welcome to Tuesday practice in Wimborne, Dorset.
