Roger appeared as the SP/M once again at
"The 2nd & 3rd Scottish Tattoo at
The Royal Albert Hall"
Sunday 16 April 2000 & 22 April 2001
Pipe Major of The Surrey Pipe Band Vice President of the London Piping Society
Roger is a former Scots Guard
Holder of a British Army Pipe Major's certificate (with rare AA pass), an advanced Royal Pipe Band Association certificate and College of Piping teaching certificate.
Silver medallist in the 1984 Gillies cup and 1984 Oban competitions. Roger is one of the few professional pipers in the UK and teaches at most public schools in the Surrey area. His influence at the Scottish Tattoo is immense and as well as being Senior Pipe Major, Roger was the Lone Piper in 2000 - and played an immaculate "Flowers of the Forest" - he also played for the Highland dancing - during his spare moments, which he also did in 2001!
Many thanks Roger for your support for the event and magnificent solo performances which helped make this year a spectacular event.
To anyone out there wanting a piper to play or requiring expert tuition, Roger is the man.
