Our theme this year highlights one of the most romantic periods of Scottish history that ended in bloody defeat at Culloden. The Stuarts ruled Scotland and England for over 100 years, before the political union of the two countries. After Queen Anne, and the 'overlooking' of a Stuart successor, there came the Jacobite risings of 1715 and 1745. The hopes of Prince Charles Edward Stuart, the Bonnie Prince, were finally dashed at Culloden in April 1746. His escape to Skye is legend. Join us as we tell the story, intermingled between the best of Scottish & Irish, music, song and dance. The show opened in Salisbury City Hall in April to a sell-out audience, who had snapped up the tickets three months in advance! Did they enjoy it?
