This year we celebrate Scotland through the words and life of the nation’s Bard, Robert Burns on the 250th anniversary of his birth. Burns poetry and songs have infiltrated the psyche of us all and evoke colourful, emotional images and memories—just like The Scottish Tattoo. Combine the two and I am sure we will all want to be there. The Salisbury Show was another sell out and the performance was superb. Lots of new pieces and collaboration between performers - Riverdance with Brass and Irish Dance was outstanding, as was Mairi MacInnes and her mouth music danced by the Scottish Dancers.
